On Monday evening, while I was cooking dinner, I heard the scream. When I looked outside there she was holding her arm, and screaming. I knew what happened. She fell again! Mason confirmed my thoughts! Yesterday the xrays showed a left arm buckle fracture to the radius and ulna, AGAIN!!! Yes, I said again. If you don't know this is the 3rd time Makayla has had a broken arm! She will be in a cast for a month. The doctor said that this is a typical break seen with a fall and there is nothing wrong with her bones, she is just hard on them. Imagine that!!!! This time she is a little more annoyed because she is old enough to know what a pain this is going to be. Last two times she was only 16 months old. I am happy to report that she is doing fine, adjusting to the cast, and is having all her friends and family sign her cast this time :) Enjoy the pictures.

First Day of School
Today was the first day of school and I SURVIVED!!!! Matthew was first to go. He is going into the 6th grade, so it was his first day of Middle School. I will admit I was a little nervous but he was not, as a matter of fact he was very excited. He couldn't wait to get back to school. He got his bus around 7:20 this morning. Of course you can't walk with him to the bus stop like we use to, that isn't cool anymore, so I kissed him good bye and off he went. He is growing up so fast!!!! There was another milestone at the Ober's house today as well, Mason's first day of Kindergarten. He was so excited he kept asking when it was time to go to the bus stop for over an hour I think. When it was time, we walked him down where he got right on and off they went. I was okay with him going, I guess. Still a little nervous for him as he has to get off the first bus at Donegal Springs and ride on another bus to the Kindergarten center, so that makes me worry just a little, but he seemed to not mind it at all. So I was glad for that. Please enjoy the pictures from the first day of school for the Ober boys!!!

Ginder Pool Party 08
Every year, our close friends Steve and Kim Ginder, host an adult pool party. It's a good time of fun, laughter, swimming, friendship and much more. Last weekend was the yearly party and I was able to capture some moments on camera from our time together as friends.
Jen Beck and I catching up. I have known Jen since nursing school and mom watches little Ethan. Jen has recently gone back to Women's and Babies as a nurse, so we had lots to talk about since I don't get to see her very often.
Kim and I smiling for a picture! We too had a lot of catching up to do since I don't see her very often anymore.

New Video
Most of you already know how we did at Nationals from my entry below. However, a new update has been posted to the Paula's School of Baton website. Check out www.paulasschoolofbaton (parent team) for the video of the 1st Place National Winning Parent Team!! You will see my performance with the parent team. When I twirled at the studio over 15 years ago, our parents did a parent team to "Raining Men." This year Paula decided to create a new parent team. This team is done for fun for all the kids and others entertainment, but to our surprise we had 42 interested parents participate in the team this year. It was such a success and we can't wait to do it again in the near future! Enjoy the entertainment :)

Nationals 08
Our past week was spent at Nationals. We left last Thurs July 24th and came home yesterday Aug 1st. We had such a great week with lots of winners. Enjoy some of our pictures below.
This year we had so much stuff so we rented a Penske truck and filled it to the top with stuff. These are the 12 girls that had stuff that filled it to the top!

Our Maine Vacation
Our first family vacation to Maine was outstanding. We had beautiful weather, with rain only occurring on the day before we left, so we couldn't of had it better. There are many pictures for you to enjoy from our week in Maine. Hopefully we will make it back there again next year!!!
Daddy and Mason in their first swim in the lake. We did a lot of swimming.
Matthew trying out the fishing off of our dock, while the men supervised his efforts.
Mason's first time fishing!
Mason and Makayla enjoying their swim in the lake and jumping off of our floating dock.
Makayla's attempt at fishing.
Our BEAUTIFUL house from the back. Our view from the decks was of Turtle Cove where we stayed. It was great to wake up and have that view for a week.
Bode enjoying his time by the lake.
Our place had a paddle boat, so this was Matt and Matt attempting to go out fishing on that little paddleboat. It was a site to see.
The first time out on the boat.

The kids at the Lobster Pound.
Matt, Ani, Devon, and Brandon waiting for their first Lobster's of the week.

One of our days we went to Freeport, home of L.L. Bean. This was the kids inside LL Bean at the indoor pond filled with fish.
Matt and the kids hanging out together while Mommy and Ani finished shopping.
An LL Bean shoe sand sculpture.
Eating dinner at Harrasekeet's. This is my favorite place to eat in Maine. It is BYOB and you order your food and sit at picnic tables by the water. It is a great scene!

Matthew's purchase in Maine this year was a Lobster hat! He wore it everywhere.

Another afternoon was spent in Portland. We enjoyed some drinks at 3 Dollar Dewes.
My kids

Our men fished everyday while we were there. Here is one of many of Matt's catches!!!
We spent a day on the lake boating and swimming. On one small island there was a rope swing. Of course my Matt had to do it from the highest point!
Enjoying their beers in the water.
After we returned from our day of boating, Ani and I decided to try fishing. We were very successful. This was my very first fish I ever caught. And below is Ani's "monster fish" she caught.
Lots of memories in Maine, and can't wait to return next year for another fun filled time together with family and friends.
