Lots of Updates!

Well I know you are all probably wondering why I haven't posted in ages, but we have been SO busy and I just haven't had time. Between running the kids and being crazy busy at work, I haven't had any extra time to post. I decided during my lunch today that I needed to update you all what we have been up to the past few weeks in the Ober house. We had a busy Memorial Day weekend with picnics and seeing family. The following weekend was Makayla's recital, which she did great! The weekend after that was our trip to the mountains with the Ginder's, so only now do I have a moment to show you some pics from the past few weeks. Hope you enjoy :)
Friday of Memorial Day weekend, we went to eat at Mick's with my parents. Makayla loves her wings and gets them everytime we are there. She wanted to show me just how much she loves them in this picture. The boys!

Saturday, I was able to sit and watch Mason's t-ball practice. I wasn't able to watch the first couple of practices, so it was nice to see how well he is getting. Mason is playing for the Maytown Reds this year and is enjoying it very much. He is doing really well and is even working on hitting without a tee. A couple of action shots!

Saturday after the parade, we went to Mary and Leo's picnic (friends of the family). They have a hot tub and every year they want the kids to play in it. Even the "big kids."
On Sunday we went to Devon and Brandon's new house for a picnic. We had a ton of fun and the kids had a great time. Makayla found some new buddies to hang with. Here is Makayla with her friends Chloe, Tyler (Brent Wolf's kids) and Braden.
Mason enjoying his ice cream cone.
The last weekend of May was Makayla's recital. It was a great night and she really had a great time showing off for her family and friends who came to watch. Since she is a private student this year and won a title, she was allowed to dress up for the beginning of the show and hand out programs. She thought she was hot stuff like the big girls!

Makayla and her best friend Hailey!
Mason didn't make it.....
and neither did Makayla afterwards!
We had sometime to hang around the house since it was the only weekend we didn't have much planned. It turned out to be a great weekend. The kids were showing me their art skills. Mason wanted to draw an ocean, so we did half the driveway with ocean animals!
Makayla showing her art. That would be Cami our old dog that she is drawing and missing so much :(
We took Ani with us and went to the pool for the afternoon. It was a nice first day at the pool and to open the swimming season!
Being cool!
The last week of school, Mason had his Kindergarten program. He did great with his songs!
This past weekend we took the Ginders and went to the mountains. We had a blast and the kids were very excited to be there! We had some visitors while we were there.
Mason and his 4 wheeler. He was ablet o ride ALL weekend long so he was in his glory!

The whole gang on riding!
The kids!
We wanted to take the kids for a long 4 wheeler ride and do a picnic. On Friday it was sprinkling off and on so that picnic was sort of quick. The still had a blast and we were able to do it again on Saturday when the sun was shinning!
A taste on the Friday trying some "muddin" with the 4 wheelers!

Evening of relaxation.
On Saturday it was a beautiful day! We took the Ginder's to "Big Foot's Cabin." A popular place in the hills of Potter County when you are riding 4 wheeler.

This was a taste of the true "muddin" we did on Saturday! It was hysterical and messy!!!!!

Our campfire evening the night before we had to go home! Daddy and Matthew hangin out!
Best Friends!
The kids making their smores!
On Sunday we came home early so we could go see Mason play in his baseball game against Marietta. He did a great job and had some great hits off the tee as well as good throws to first base!

States, Banquet, and More!

This weekend was a very busy one, but then again lately everyday is a busy one in the Ober house! Makayla had her state baton competition this weekend. She did very well, and almost caught her one spin on the floor! Now she is actually catching them almost all the time, yesterday she started a harder routine. Now we have lots of practicing to do before Nationals :) Matt was home with the boys this weekend. They had T-ball and a picnic and then a boys night to the movies! This week has been nuts. Soccer practice, banquet, working, swimming, it goes on and on. Hopefully soon we will have a little break and we are certainly looking forward to a nice long weekend!
Makayla and her friend Anna before they were ready to model at competition. They looked so pretty! And here they are with Sophia there other best friend.

She just loves Kelsey!

On Wednesday late morning, Makayla had her preschool picnic since it was her last day of school. They had games and ice cream sundaes and we packed a lunch. It turned out to be a great morning. Here is Makayla playing the fishing game.

Makayla's Routine

Great weekend and more to come....

This weekend was great! Friday night I was able to enjoy some fun with the ladies after experiencing the birth of the Ober calf! We got a call on Friday night while Matt was mowing that the cow was going to have its calf out at my in-laws, so we all hoped in the car so we could see the birht. It took about 2 hours but the calf did come that evening and the kids were so excited. It was amazing to see, even the kids enjoyed it. I had to answer a few questions but nothing I couldn't handle!!! (hahahaha) I will try to get a picture but I only had my phone with me and I don't know how to get my pics from my phone to the computer!
Saturday after a long day of practicing at the studio for State competition this weekend, we went to a picnic for Todd and Olivia. Todd is a great friend from high school who we don't get to see all that much so it was great to visit. The kids had a great time. The boys played baseball while Makayla did the girly stuff. Below is Makayla with Izzi, Paige and Caris playing playdough on the carpet right inside the door to the VFW. You can tell the husband's set this up! Not a good place to play but they loved it anyways! It was a long night and my kids started to get really sleepy. The decided to make their own beds out of chairs. My kids are great, they are used to sleeping wherever, even on chairs!!!!!!!
On Sunday, I was able to enjoy a great time of SLEEPING IN! All I wanted for Mother's Day was to sleep in and not get up with an alarm. It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Matt made breakfast for the family then he helped me clean the house. I ran some errands with Makayla and Mason and then my parents, Michael and Christy, and Deb and Jere came over for steaks on the grill. It was delicious.
Makayla was entertaining Bode with a ride in her jeep! HE LOVED IT!!! They drove it so much the battery died.

Mason making sure things are going okay and Bode isn't trying to climb out :)
Last evening was Makayla show at the studio. It is like a practice run for the kids to see if they are ready for the recital in 2 weeks. Here she is doing her tap routine to "FABULOUS" from High School Musical 2. She is a ham!!!!!!

Another busy weekend coming up! Makayla and I have State Competition in Lebanon all weekend. Good luck Makayla and catch your 1 spin! Matthew has a soccer game, GO FIRE! Mason has T-ball practice. Lots of running but its all worth it!!!!! Enjoy your weekend!

RICHMOND RACE 09

So it is that time again to report on our annual trip to the NASCAR Richmond Race 09. We had a smaller group this year but still had a great time. There was concern for some rain and we did experience some. Throughout the day on Sat we had some showers (maybe twice) and at the time of the race it was raining. However, it stopped and they were able to dry the track and run the race! It was a great time and enjoy our pictures from our trip this year. Next year's race will be on again, so let us know if you are interested in joining us. We hope to have our original crew back next year!!!
This is Friday afternoon in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn. We decided to leave on Friday AM this year to save ourselves the cost of a night in a hotel. We arrived to Richmond around 12:30pm. We stopped at the store to stock up on supplies and food for tailgaiting and then headed to the hotel. Since we couldn't check in till 3pm we did our traditional tailgaiting in the parking lot of the hotel before we head to dinner. Amanda, Lisa and I hanging out! This year we had a new member to our bunch. Kim had to do her motherly duties this year and was not able to join us (YEAH MADISON'S CHEERLEADING TEAM), so Steve invited his dad "BIG DADDY MARK (aka BDM) to join us. Unfortunately Mark worked the night before we left so he was working on no sleep. He did however enjoy a nice nap in the parking lot!
Matt and his famous barstool racer!

Amanda trying out the racer and loving it of course!

Lisa and Nic "our roomies" this year!

Lisa and I on the racer, looking ready. However we had a little spill but we survived and got back on. Sorry Lisa!

Saturday we headed to the track for a day of fun. We set up tent in our normal parking lot and then enjoyed the day. There was a lot of baggo games, washers, and of course riding the racers. However as you can see below Steve had a problem with the chain and his foot. He had to be the accident this year, however thanks to Amanda we had a great first aid kit to help get us through! Kim will probably not allow Steve to come alone again :)

Amanda, Nic and Lisa during a passing shower!
