Manheim Parade

On Wednesday, Makayla had her first parade of the season. This year Paula decided to do a competitive team group to march in the parade, consisting of any student is currently on teams, followed by the class kids. The team kids got new outfits, different then the class ones. The girls did great for their first parade of the season, and they marched the whole way, doing the routine over and over again. It was a lot of fun! Look for us in the Columbia parade on Thurs Oct 23rd and the Millersville Homecoming Parade on Sat Nov 1st. Makayla with her buddies Peyton and Anna

Our National winners, Hunter Miller Minature Majorette Princess of America (Advanced 4-6) and Brooke Ressler-Petite Majorette Princess of America (Elite 10-12)! These girls rode in the parade in the convertible mustang. The joys of being baton royalty!

Makayla's 4th birthday!

Last week on Wednesday, Makayla took a treat to school to celebrate her birthday with her preschool friends. We made Ice-Cream Cone cupcakes with sprinkles, which were a hit! Here she is after school, showing us one of her treats. Saturday October 4th was her actual birthday. She woke up at 6:45, bright and early, and very much excited. I gave her a big birthday kiss and she said "put me down mom." Of course I gave her an odd look and put her down as she wished. She turned to me and said "don't I look taller now that I am 4?" Oh that girl, some of the things she thinks of just crack me up. I like to give my kids a gift on their actual birthday and then another at the time of their parties. Here a few pictures of her opening presents from mom and dad and one from her best buddy Anna on her birthday. Enjoy! Check back next week as I hope to have pictures from her party to show you all!

My cousin Krista and her husband Dave with adorable little Peyton, and another one on the way! We wish they could be with us all the time, but we will take a weekend spent with them anytime we can!
My cousin Brad and his girlfriend Ruby with Matthew

Matthew and Mommy

Hard to see but that is Uncle Mark looking handsome in his tuxedo and Dani looked great in her dress. This was their first dance together as husband and wife.
Michael and Christy enjoying a night out, while Bode was with Aunt Cathy
The kids thought it was great that they could take pictures. So here is Nanny and Pappy getting their picture taken by Makayla
Makayla busting a move on the dance floor!

This was the finally picture of the night, each of the boys got some chairs and crashed. Makayla was asleep on nanny's lap and Matthew was going strong still dancing! What a fun day:)

Watching Bode

So about 2 weeks ago, the kids and I had the pleasure of watching Bode for a few hours in the evening. It was kind of crazy around our house that evening with the kids all getting showers, getting ready for school the next day. As I told Michael I would give Bode a bath, I wanted to keep that promise. Well all of my kids loved to get baths in the sink. I used to clean it out good, fill it with water and bubbles and let them splash away. So the kids and I wanted Bode to have that same fun...... Here he is enjoying his sink bath!!!! He laughed and giggled the whole time. It was absolutely adorable :)
He loved playing with my clean dishes and was just making a good time of his experience!

Makayla's First Day of Preschool

On Monday September 15th, my little baby started her first day of Preschool! Can you believe it?? She was so excited and walked in the room without a care in the world. It was a hassle to say good-bye to mom because she was already getting her name tag and wanting to play. She loved it so much and will have a great year I am sure. To all you parents of young kids out there, just enjoy every moment you have with your kids and cherish it always. Time flies and sooner or later they will be all grown up! Before we left for Nanny's we needed the first day of school picture. Here she is with her brother!
Makayla and her friend Aalyiah. They are in the same class together.
Right before we left, we had to get the stand alone backpack picture as I have ALWAYS done with all my kids. Makayla had the pleasure of going to her fist day of school with a cast on her arm but another week yet and she will be cast free. Yeah!!!

Hersheypark

On Sunday we had our yearly trip to Hersheypark! It was a very HOT day with temps in the 90's and no breeze, but we were able to stick it out and enjoy ourselves. The kids had a blast as always. Matthew made the "Twizzler" height which meant he could ride ALL the coasters and he did by the end of the night and loved them all! Bode was a trooper with the heat and being "too small" to ride but just wait till next year, we will really have some fun then! Enjoy our pictures from our day:) Mason and Makayla standing in the first line of the day!
The first ride, the "Balloons" which was the only thing Makayla really wanted to ride. Her favorite!
Nanny and Matthew on the carousel.
Mason and Makayla
Driving the fire engine!
And the helicopter in the air!
Christy and Bode watching the ride. Bode was dreaming of what he will be getting on next year.
Daddy and Matthew on the Scrambler.
We were even able to get mom on the Scrambler, something other than the carousel which is all she will normally ride.

The buzzing bees!
Pappy and Mason on the "Whip" the ride from the 1950's and still running!
This is one of the favorites of the kids, the Hopper. It takes them up and then drops down. As you can tell Makayla loves this ride.

The convey trucks, one of the other favorites!

Even Bode was able to sit on the trucks, even though it was only a minute. The mean lady told Christy he wasn't allowed on because he can't walk. She was trying to ruin his fun!!!! Just wait till next year lady!
The airplanes!
Bode at dinner, with Makayla entertaining him with her dancing, which he loves to watch!

One of our last rides of the day, the classic cars. I was in with Makayla while she drove and following behind us was Matthew and Mason driving daddy!
