Fun Times!!!!

Before Krista and Dave left, we had them over so Payton could play with the new toys. Her and Makayla had so much fun together this past time. Here they are playing dress up. Payton is obsessed with High School Musical so when she found out we had a gabriella costume from Halloween, well she just had to put it on.

The girls singing the song Fabulous from HSM 2!

After Christmas........

Our after Christmas day festivities start with Christmas with my parents on Friday. We started around 1pm as Matt had to work that day, and ended that night late. We like to make this an all day afair as we like to take our time opening presents, and then mom makes a delicious dinner for all to enjoy. It is the one time during the year that she gets to use her dinning room table, so we all love that!!! My adorable nephew Bode was the first to start as he is the youngest! Here he is opening some presents from us. What better way to start eating table food then with a camo plate set! Then we got him a toy bucket with his name on it from the Lititz Craft fair. My kids have these buckets and they are great. Not just for toys but for little boys named Bode too!!! hahahaha
Here he is helping Daddy to put together his new rocking horse.

Presents from Nanny and Pappy to Makayla
A new portable DVD player
Presents to Mason
and to Matthew
Mason's new camo coat from his Aunt Christy and Uncle Mike. Goes perfect with his new bow and now he wears it ALL THE TIME!
Bode was excited to help Matthew with his presents.

A new PSU blanket made by Nanny
This year both of the boys got new bikes from my parents, as did Nanny from us kids. Now they can all ride together!!! We had to go try them out that night and they did great!
Matt trying on his new camo gear from my parents. He is just like my sister in law, Christy has to try everything on. Unfortunately my camera died so I don't have a picture of her but it was great watching these two try their new stuff on IMMEDIATELY! It's a tradition for them :)
Finally our Christmas holiday ends at my Nana's Christmas on Saturday. My cousin came in from Ohio, and my aunt and uncle from Florida. We had a great time eating, exchanging presents, and of course our tradition of playing games!!!! Makayla wanting a picture with Bode although he doesn't want to sit that still. Oh well, she made him anyway!!

I want to take this time again to thank everyone for being a part of another great holiday season. It was great fun and we thank you all very much for everything you have done for us this year and holiday season. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful family! We are looking forward to a great 2009 and wish you all the best and joyous New Year! We love you all :)

Christmas Day.......

The morning of Christmas was SO much fun!! We awoke at 8:00 am to find the kids still sleeping (long night at Nanny's the night before). I decided I would be the first up to shower and get somewhat dressed while we left the kids and daddy sleep a little longer. No sooner did I get out of the shower Mason was ready to go and was in the process of waking up the other two. This was now close to 8:30! As much as my kids love Christmas and are extremely excited about Santa coming, they NEVER get up early!! They like their sleep, so I guess I can't complain:) Looks like Santa came to the Ober's. Hard to see the presents to Mason, as they were wrapped in Camo paper!!! Mason was curious as to how Ruldolph got in our house last year and left a foot print on the letter from Santa. This year Santa was gracious enough to explain how he did that and Ruldolph even left a foot print on mommy's carpet!!!! Look closely and you will see!!!! The kids thought it was great, but mommy wasn't too happy (daddy drawing on my carpet with washable marker). Thank goodness it comes out!!
Matthew reading the letter from Santa to Mason and Makayla. He was very in on the secret this year and wanted to see "how its done." He just couldn't believe the big secret we kept for 12 years, although he was very good about helping!

Matthew opens his "real" cell phone. Very excited and was so excited to send his first text message.

All he really asked for was Playstation and Wii games. This was one of his favorites on his list!

Mason got what he wanted, the geo air set for his train set. Now we have a town set up in our basement for the trains and the airplanes!!!
As many of you know, Makayla kept changing her list to Santa but one thing she did ask for consistently was potty baby.
Her new Fisher Price Loving Family Dollhouse
The one and only thing Mason wanted was a new bow! A real one like daddy's.
Matthew opening up his big present which is a pool pass to the Mount Joy pool this summer so he can go with friends!
A new CD player for her music!
A bow case for the new bow
Ready to support the PSU lions, as they make their way to the Rose Bowl!

Daddy and his new camo hat
After we were done opening our presents, we had Grandma and Papa and Nanny and Pappy over for breakfast, and so the kids could show their presents! Mason had to show how to shoot the new bow. He did a great job and can even hit the target! He is in his glory!! In case you are wondering he is NOT shooting arrows with tips, just no tips right now!

Around 1pm we headed over to Aunt Cathy's for the rest of the day. We had our Christmas dinner and then opened presents once everyone arrived. Bode had the privlege of going first this year since he was the youngest!
He wanted so bad for his cousin Makayla to wake up from her nap. It was her turn to open!
She did and she got another Barbie!
New camo shirt from Aunt Cathy and Uncle Jere
A new PSU jersey #17 Darryl Clark for Matthew to wear. He has it already planned he will be wearing that New Year's Day for the game, for good luck!
What a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we had. We thank everyone for the gifts and the time spent with one another. We love you all.

The Start of the Holiday Season.....

Christmas began this year on Tuesday, with a daycare Christmas at Nanny's. The kids were so excited to open the first of many presents this holiday season with their friends at Nanny's daycare...... Displaying their new games and toys from Nanny..... L to R: Brandon, Makayla, Mason, Ryan , Matthew Front: Aalyiah, Xavier
Our next celebration was with the Ober's on Christmas eve. The kids are showing some of their gifts they received from Grandma and Papa. Makayla got a barbie who's hair you can dye and then dye your own. Makayla was a little bummed because I wouldn't allow her to try it on her own hair, because I didn't think going to Christmas eve service with blue hair would be very appropriate! She thought it was a great idea of course.

Mason and his Hess truck. These were extremely hard to find this year, but thanks to Grandma, she got one right when they came out so he was lucky!

Matthew's REAL football!!!!

Before Christmas Eve service at church

Arriving at Nanny's for the annual Christmas Eve party. It was great fun as it always is!!!!
And who other than SANTA CLAUS to drop in at my mom & dad's. Now the kids know this Santa as a "helper santa" because the real santa is preparing the sleigh, but they were still excited to visit with him and receive some pre-Christmas presents.
