I was babysitting Bode through the night while Kailani was entering this world. I will post pictures soon!!!! YEAH :)

I AM BACK........

I apologize to you all for not being here for so long, but honestly things have been so crazy around the Ober's that to have a moment to update this blog has been REALLY diffcult. However, tonight while I had the chance to sit and watch Biggest Loser and my new favorite show Parenthood, I figured I better get some new pics up here and let you all know where we are. The kids are all in different sports right now, so being home is a rarety around here. Matthew decided to play spring soccer so we are running him Mon and Wed and games on Sat. So far they tied one and lost one, but we are hoping for a good win this Saturday in LS. Mason is playing Pee-Wee ball and has offered to be the catcher. He loves it and is super excited that he actually gets to play a game rather than just hit off the tee all the time. His first game is Thurs. I enjoy watching him get all that gear on and catch, it's just too cute! Makayla is still doing her baton and getting better by the minute. We just had Regionals and she did an AWESOME job. She caught her first 2 spin on the floor for the judge, which is a great thing for a 5 year old. Since then she is catching them like crazy! I can't wait to see how good she looks going into Nationals because her practices in the parking lot are going to great for her. Matt is still working hard and enjoying his time fishing and me well it hasn't changed, work, teach and run the kids, that is what I do!!!!! I am looking forward to a weekend next week at our annual race trip with friends. It will be a great weekend!
I hope you can all enjoy the few pics I posted tonight and I promise to keep up on this when I can and post more soon! Enjoy :)

Another successful weekend!

We had another great weekend at the Ober house with Mason winning another gold medal in wrestling. He pinned his first wrestler in 1:45 and the second match he won 7-6. I was so excited I could be out there to see him, but boy is it stressful on the parent side of all of this. I think its easier being the coach and even the person competiting. I am working on trying to get the videos downloaded so check back soon!

Mini Nationals 2010

Our weekend was long, but it went well. Makayla had a rough day on Saturday with some routines that didn't go so well, but not everyone can have a great day all the time and she is 5 so we don't stress to much about that. She got 3rd in the Advanced title overall, and 5th in the Beginner title overall. However, Sunday was a new day and we came home with a "America's Most Beautiful Minature Majorette 2010." She received her first "silky" banner which is so exciting in the world of baton twirling. This is the highest modeling title you can win in the 4-6 age division, so it turned out to be a GREAT weekend!!!!!
This was 5:30am on Friday with the start to our trip to Tennessee! Anna, Sophia and Makayla the "best buddies." Getting ready to do solo on Saturday morning!
Makayla posing in her new costume!!!! How precious!

This was Sunday before the modeling event. From L to R: Morgan, Kendra, Kylie and Makayla

On another note, Matt made it home safely from his trip to Lousiana for mission work with church. He said it was a great experience and he was worked hard since a plumber down in that area is hard to come by! He will be going again next year and only wishes he could have stayed to get more done. So much needs to be done still in those hard hit areas. Thanks to group like this, eventually it will all be rebuilt. I hope to load some pics of his trip soon!

Our start to 2010....

Today was a great day in the Ober House. Mason attended his first wrestling tournament and brought home a GOLD Medal for the 49lb bracket. His first match he won 10-0 and in the final match he won 17-6. We are so proud of him and Matt said he did a great job!!! He will be wrestling in the Donegal Tournament the end of the month which I hope to get a video of. Congrats Mason!!!!!! 2010 also started out with a new addition to the Ober Family. I know what you are all thinking, "I thought Jamie said no more pets." Well Matt agreed to getting a cat for the kids over New Years. My co-worker had 2 cats which were born in August who needed a home. We didn't take both, just one. Original name by Makayla was "Mittens" until this past week when we realized the cat is a boy so we all agreed on "Mossy." Of course we had to go with something hunting related in this house. Enjoy our pictures. We are loving him, and he has been great thus far!!!!
This is Makayla at Barb's when we first picked up the cat!
The boys being introduced to the new addition.

Of course Makayla doesn't leave Mossy alone and tends to think its a baby!!

Even traps it with her in bed for naps!

We have a busy week this week. Matt leaves tomorrow for his first mission trip with church. He is heading to Lousiana to re-build a home from hurricane Katrina. He is very excited for this experience, what a great thing he is doing and how nice it will be to have someone so talented down there to help. I wish him a safe trip!
Makayla and I leave on Friday morning for Mini-Nationals. Makayla will be competiting for the Beginner and Advanced titles as well as Most Beautiful. Good luck Makayla! Of course we will have lots of pics to post after this week. Hope everyone is having a good start to their year.
Write soon!!!
